QWhen and how do I book my ceremony and reception spaces?

QHow do I obtain a marriage license?
AYou must first download an application online, and then go to the Hawai`i Department of Health to obtain a marriage license in person. The fee for a marriage license is $60 U.S. currency only, payable in cash at the time of filing. (Please note that the filing fee is subject to change.) The office is located on the corner of Beretania and Punchbowl Street. You can call the department at (808) 586-4545. Normal business hours are as follows: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM, except Hawaiian and federal holidays. Please note that the Health Department is closed every other Friday due to Hawaiʻi budget deficits. We suggest that you call the above number to confirm dates of operation prior to visiting.
QDo I have to get a marriage license in Hawaiʻi?
AYes, the state of Hawaiʻi requires couples to get a Hawaiʻi Marriage License prior to their wedding in Hawaiʻi.
QDo you provide officiants?
AYes, an officiant is included in our wedding packages. All of our wedding officiants have performed weddings at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and are familiar with our locations and facilities. Your Disney Wedding Coordinator will help pair you with an officiant that best fits your ceremony needs.
QWhat is the cost of the officiant?
AYou do not have to worry about incurring an additional charge for your officiant, since this cost is already included in our wedding packages.
QCan I provide my own cake, food and/or beverage?
AUnfortunately, due to health and safety concerns, we do not allow our guests to provide their own food and beverages for their events. However, we can assure you that our world-renowned chefs and pastry artists will treat you and your guests to an unforgettable dining experience, complete with a gorgeous wedding cake.
QDo I have to stay at the Resort in order to have my wedding at the Resort?
AFor a seamless experience, we recommend that you stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. A 10-room minimum is required to book your ceremony or reception at the Resort. These 10 rooms can be utilized in one night or in any pattern that works best with the flow of your guests' stay. We are pleased to offer you and your guests specially priced rooms at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, when 10 or more rooms are booked.
If you and your guests book 25 rooms at the Resort, a complimentary standard room is offered to the bride and groom on their wedding night, subject to availability. Suite upgrades are available for an additional charge.
QDo my guests have to stay at the Resort?
ANo, your guests are not required to stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, during your wedding festivities. However, we make it convenient and affordable for your guests to attend your wedding by offering specially-priced room blocks at the Resort. Accommodations for the bride and groom will also count toward the room block minimum. Your Disney Wedding Coordinator is happy to discuss all of these details with you to ensure your comfort and understanding of the booking process.
QWill transportation from the airport be provided?
AAulani has partnered with Hele Hele Shuttle to provide transportation from the airport to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Visitors may also utilize car rentals, shuttles or Oʻahu's public transportation system from a provider at the Daniel K Inouye International Airport.
QHow will my guests not staying at Aulani get to the Resort?
AVisitors can get to the Resort by car rental, shuttle or taxi. Rental cars can be reserved in advance through providers at the Honolulu International Airport. Taxi stands are located throughout the airport.
QWhat kind of amenities can we enjoy while at the Resort?
ANaturally, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, features an 18,000-square-foot spa boasting 15 treatment rooms, 2 couples' rooms and a 2,000-square-foot fitness center. There, you can take advantage of all the latest spa therapies, specialty treatments and beauty regimens, and the guys might appreciate a massage too! You may also wish to schedule a relaxing couples' massage for the day after your event—the ultimate indulgence!
QWhat is the weather like?
AAverage temperatures on Oʻahu range from lows in the 60s and 70s to highs in the 80s. Temperatures remain fairly consistent throughout all months of the year.
QWhat is the time zone?
AHawaiʻi's time zone is the Hawaiʻi-Aleutian Standard Time Zone. Hawaiʻi is 5 hours behind Eastern Standard Time, 2 hours behind Pacific Standard Time and 19 hours behind Tokyo time. Hawaiʻi does not recognize daylight savings time and will therefore be an additional hour behind standard times.
QHow far is Aulani from the airport?
AAulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, is approximately 20 miles from the airport, so please plan accordingly once you arrive in case of traffic or other interferences.

AYes. The spa at Aulani offers a salon featuring a number of beauty regimens that you may take advantage of prior to your wedding day.
QWill I be able to have fireworks?
AThe Hawaiian culture does not have a history of using fireworks. So, we are unable to offer fireworks during your wedding due to that sensitivity as well as to environmental preservation considerations.
Q Can we take pictures on the beach?
AYes, after your ceremony, you may take photos on the beach. However, it is a shared beach, and we cannot guarantee that other Guests won't interfere with your ability to take photos.
