QWhat ceremony locations are available?
AEscape Collection ceremonies are currently held at Alohi Point, Sunset Alcove or Kula Wai. Check with a Disney Wedding Planner regarding other potentially available locations, as our offerings do change from time to time.
QIs ceremonial décor provided?
AYou may enhance the location with décor if you wish, but in the spirit of simple and effortless planning, the already-beautiful surroundings can serve as your décor! Please check with a Disney Wedding Planner regarding adding your own décor and what the location can accommodate.
QAre chairs provided for the ceremony?
AYes, we are able to set up chairs at each of our Escape locations. Please check with your Disney Wedding Planner as each unique location has a limit of chairs that can be set.
QCan we take pictures on the beach?
AYes. After your ceremony, you may take photos on the beach. However, it is a shared beach, and we cannot guarantee that there will not be other guests there who may interfere with your ability to take photos.
QWhat are the available times for Escape ceremonies?
AEscape ceremony start times are available at 8:00am, 9:00am, 4:00pm, or 8:00pm, depending on desired location, Monday through Friday only
QCan I have just a ceremony and not a reception?
AYes. Escape Collection are ceremonies only and do not require that a reception be held afterward.
QDo you provide officiants?
AYes. An officiant is included in your Escape experience, but it is up to the bride and groom to select one from our provided list. These officiants have performed weddings at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and are familiar with our locations and facilities.
QWhat is the cost of the officiant?
AThe cost of the officiant is already included in your Escape wedding package.
QWhom do I call to book at a wedding at Aulani?

QHow much is the deposit?
AA non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required in order to begin planning your event, part of which involves securing your event space and reserving hotel room accommodations at special discounted rates. A signed Letter of Agreement is also required to confirm your wedding date. Payment of any remaining balance is due in full 30 days prior to that date.

QWhen and how do I book my ceremony?

QCan I tour each of the ceremony sites?
AAbsolutely! We would love to meet with you and show you the unique venue options available at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, to ensure that your fairy-tale wedding is everything you were expecting.
QHow do I obtain a marriage license?
AYou must first download an application online, and then you must go to the Hawaiʻi Department of Health to obtain a marriage license in person. The fee for a marriage license is $60 U.S. currency only, payable in cash at the time of filing. (Please note that the filing fee is subject to change.) QDo I have to get a marriage license in Hawaiʻi?
AYes. The state of Hawaiʻi requires couples to get a Hawaiʻi Marriage License prior to their wedding in Hawaiʻi. If you are having a vow renewal ceremony at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, you will not require a marriage license.
QWhat is the required minimum cost of having a wedding and/or reception at Aulani?
AIn order to host your Escape event at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, we require that a 4-room minimum be booked by you and your guests in any combination during your stay.This will be in addition to your base price of $4,200.
QCan I provide my own photographer, videographer, entertainment and florist?
Wedding photography is included in your Escape experience. We have aligned ourselves with a variety of excellent photographers for you to choose from, so there is no need to provide your own. Although you may provide your own photographer, videographer, entertainment and/or florist, an outside vendor fee will apply.

QCan I provide my own cake, food and/or beverage?
AUnfortunately, due to health and safety concerns, we do not allow our guests to provide their own food and beverage for their events. However, should you wish to add a dinner or Cake & Champagne Reception, we can assure you that our world-renowned chefs and pastry artists will treat you and your guests to an unbelievable dining experience and a beautiful cake that is everything you had in mind.
QDo I have to stay at the Resort in order to have my wedding at the Resort?
AYes. A 4-room night minimum is required to book your ceremony or reception at the Resort. These 4 rooms can be utilized in one night or in any pattern that works best with the flow of your friends' and family members' stay. We are pleased to offer you and your guests specially priced rooms at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, when you celebrate your wedding or vow renewal with us. Room upgrades are also available at an additional charge.
QDo my guests have to stay at the Resort?
ANo. Your guests are not required to stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, during your wedding festivities; however, we make it convenient and affordable for your guests to attend your wedding by offering specially priced rooms throughout Aulani through a special room block. The accommodations of the bride and groom also count toward this minimum. Your Disney Wedding Planner will be happy to discuss this in detail to ensure your comfort level.
QWill transportation from the airport be provided?
Unfortunately, we do not offer transportation from the airport to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa; however, visitors can get around by car rental, shuttle, taxi or Oʻahu's public transportation system. Many visitors also enjoy taking bus tours to conveniently explore the Island. Others rent mopeds and motorcycles. But to really experience all that Oʻahu has to offer, visitors should consider renting a car from a provider at the Honolulu International Airport.
Taxis are a great way to travel when in a group, and the cost can be shared. Taxi stands are located at most major shopping malls, in the business district and at the airport. Note that rather than hailing a cab, finding taxi stands at major shopping malls and businesses as well as calling for pickups via hotel concierge or phone is the norm in Hawaiʻi.
Oʻahu's city transportation system is aptly named "TheBus." Fares are reasonable, routes are extensive, and there are special visitor passes for multiple-day uses. QHow will my guests not staying at Aulani get to the Resort?
AVisitors can get to the Resort by car rental, shuttle or taxi. Rental cars can be reserved in advance through providers at the Honolulu International Airport. Taxi stands are located throughout the airport. Our Resort Concierge team can also make shuttle or taxi reservations for you and your registered guests.
QWhat kind of amenities can we enjoy while at the Resort?
ANaturally, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, features an 18,000-square-foot spa boasting 15 treatment rooms, 2 couples' rooms and a 2,000-square-foot fitness center. There, you can take advantage of all the latest spa therapies, specialty treatments and beauty regimens, and the guys might appreciate a massage too! You may also wish to schedule a relaxing couples' massage for the day after your event—the ultimate indulgence!
QCan I have an outdoor reception dinner?
While the Escape Collection does not include a reception dinner, we invite you to consider a Cake and Champagne Celebration. Please speak with a Disney Wedding Planner about how to arrange that. Also, feel free to explore our Wishes Collection

QCan I have my reception at one of the restaurants?
AAbsolutely! While a reception is neither included in nor required for Escape Collection events, you might choose to have one. If your party is 10 or fewer, this is a particularly convenient option. We recommend to you ʻAMAʻAMA – Contemporary Island Cooking, as it is the most romantic restaurant at Aulani. Reservations are based on availability.
QWhat is the weather like?
AAverage temperatures on Oʻahu range from lows in the 60s and 70s to highs in the 80s. Temperatures remain fairly consistent throughout all months of the year.
QWhat is the time zone?
AThe time zone in Hawaiʻi is the Hawaiʻi-Aleutian Standard Time Zone. Hawaiʻi is 5 hours behind Eastern Standard Time, 2 hours behind Pacific Standard Time and 19 hours behind Tokyo time. Hawaiʻi does not recognize daylight savings time and will therefore be an additional hour behind standard times.
QHow far is Aulani from the airport?
AAulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, is approximately 20 miles from the airport, so please plan accordingly once you arrive in case of traffic or other interferences.

QWill the Resort have a salon for hair and makeup?
AYes. Aulani's Laniwai Spa offers a salon featuring a number of beauty regimens that you may take advantage of prior to, and on your wedding day. Laniwai also offers special packages exclusive to Aulani wedding couples at the time of their wedding.
QCan I have Disney Characters at my ceremony?
AWe're sorry, but our famous Disney Characters are not available to participate in the actual ceremony in any way. However, they'd be delighted to attend your Cake & Champagne Celebration, should you choose to add one, to mingle with guests and pose for unforgettable photographs. Character appearances are available in 30-minute increments and count toward your minimum wedding expenditure. Mickey, Minnie and other Disney Characters are available for appearances. Please speak with a Disney Wedding Planner about additional character options offered.
QWill I be able to have fireworks?
AThe Hawaiian culture does not have a history of using fireworks. So, we are unable to offer fireworks during your wedding due to that sensitivity as well as to environmental preservation considerations.
QWill I have a rehearsal?
ABecause Escape events are simple ceremonies, no rehearsal is needed.
QDo I need insurance?
Couples do not need to purchase wedding insurance prior to their wedding day; however, we all know that, sometimes, things can go awry.
