Megan & Matthew’s wedding at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, was full of personal moments, Disney magic, and tropical details. This couple leaned into their summer wedding date and tropical venue with a vibrant color palette and uniquely Hawaiian details woven throughout their celebration.
Megan and Matthew’s love story began in high school. The couple first met on prom night where they danced the night away and bonded over their shared passion for all things Disney. While dating, they often dreamed of having a Disney Wedding. Their dreams became a reality when they tied the know at Aulani last summer.
Megan and Mathew said “I do” with the sparkling waters, swaying palm trees, and clear blue skies of Oahu as their backdrop. Their ceremony took place at the tranquil ‘AMA‘AMA Patio. Aulani, distinct for its stunning Hawaiian architecture mixed with uniquely Disney details, made the resort the perfect destination for Megan & Matthew’s wedding festivities. The couple shared, “We wanted something that was Disney but also elegant with a relaxed vibe, so we chose Aulani.”
After a ceremony that was described “breathtaking”, the couple enjoyed taking portraits with their family and friends. These photos will serve as a tangible reminder of all the loved ones who celebrated their love story with them!
Megan and Matthew seamlessly blended Aulani's tropical environment into every detail of their celebration. By pairing a vibrant peach and teal palette with tropical arrangements of orchids and anthurium, the couple fully embraced their summer wedding date. From the floral arrangements to the signature Lava Flows drinks served at cocktail hour, every element felt like a natural extension of the island's tropical environment.
Their reception was a lively celebration complete with delicious food and drinks, and even a meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie, sporting their Hawaiian best! Paying homage to the first night they met at prom, the reception also included lots of dancing.
For this couple, the standout moment of the day was their private vow ceremony which created a romantic, heartfelt and intimate moment for the couple amongst the business and excitement of the day. They shared, “we really had the time to reflect, share, and celebrate our love for each other.”
