As Rochelle & Bill began discussing plans for their 30th wedding anniversary, they "quickly realized that a destination ceremony at Walt Disney World would be the perfect celebration." And, so began their vow renewal planning with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings.
The couple started dating during their first year of medical school and one night, during a study session, Bill pulled out a ring, dropped to one knee, and asked Rochelle to marry him. Due to their rigorous academic schedules and work load, Rochelle's mom stepped in to help plan many details of the wedding. They were married over Christmas break in Rochelle's hometown.
Just a little while later, Bill and Rochelle welcomed their first daughter and after graduating from medical school and starting their medical training, their second daughter was born. It was during a medical conference at Walt Disney World where the family first fell in love with Disney. "We immensely enjoyed our
first trip and it was during our inaugural Disney vacation that we learned of
the Disney Vacation Club. We took the tour and were smitten - deciding right
away to purchase our first DVC membership. A few years later our last princess
was born, and within the first five months of life, she too experienced the
magic of Disney World!"
Rochelle and Bill shared that their DVC membership "allowed Disney trips to
become our annual family vacation tradition." They even describe themselves as a "Disney family," sharing that they have fond memories of "introducing the grandparents and other
friends to the wonders of Disney."
When it came to planning their Disney vow renewal, Rochelle said that, "I thoroughly enjoyed the
entire planning process, especially since I had very little input in
preparation for our first ceremony." Her daughters were even able to assist in the planning!
Rochelle shared that her favorite moment from their vow renewal was "when the doors to the chapel opened and Bill was standing there, waiting to escort me down the aisle.
It was truly magical to me." She went on to say that the was Bill's favorite moment too, "I kind of knew this because he teared up the
same way he did when he saw me at the altar 30 years prior."
