When these two first met and dated, they soon realized it just wasn't the right time as they were headed in completely different directions with their lives. Four years later, Nick reached out to Courtney, and it was like everything fell completely in sync and into place. Some time later, while on vacation, they planned a hike and picnic dinner. At the summit of the mountain, right as the sun was setting, Nick dropped to one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Instead of the typical response, Courtney replied, "You know I will!"
Growing up, Courtney wasn't one who ever daydreamed about her wedding day. She knew she wanted a unique venue but wasn't sure where. One day, she joked with her mother, "the only place I would truly be excited to have a wedding was Disney." At the time, she didn't know it was even an option, but some her favorite moments were spent at Walt Disney World. When she and Nick started planning, they knew they wanted a rustic, vintage feel. Courtney had so many wonderful childhood memories at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
, and it seemed to be the perfect ceremony and reception venue for their vision.
When asked about their favorite part of the day, it was difficult to narrow it down. The bride said, "Now I fully understand why everyone says they wish every day could be their wedding day!" Some of their favorite things were the love that they felt from everyone, how attentive all the Cast Members were during the whole day and their portrait session in Disney's Animal Kingdom
. For future couples, Courtney said, "Simply trust that your day will be nothing but magical. I could rave for days about how awesome and easy the entire wedding planning process was from site visit, to the planning session and then the actual day."
