After just three dates, Lauren told her mother that she was going to marry Kellen one day. The two were introduced by her mother’s best friend and immediately were entranced with each other. Within one month (unaware of her previous comments), Kellen told Lauren he knew they were going to get married. After a year of adventure together, he set up the dream proposal at her favorite spot where her and her family vacation every year. At the bridge next to a secluded pond, Kellen got on one knee and told Lauren that he had never been so happy in his life and asked for her hand in marriage. Through the tears of joy, she managed a happy “yes.”
A Disney Wedding has always been on Lauren’s mind, but she wasn’t sure if Kellen would be open to the idea. The two had been planning a trip to Walt Disney World and decided to visit the Wedding Pavilion as well. They walked into the venue together and Kellen strolled down the aisle, scanned all the intricate details, and nodded his enthusiasm. He hugged Lauren with a big smile on his face and whispered, “It’s perfect.”
Their wedding day was everything they had imagined during that first visit. The flowers, the sword arch, the beautiful cake, the reception décor at the Atlantic Dance Hall and all the special touches were both personal and magical. Lauren’s favorite moment was a surprise prerecorded toast from her brother, who is in the Army and stationed overseas. Kellen’s favorite moment was their first dance where Lauren surprised him by secretly recording herself singing their song. It was the perfect start to their happily ever after.
