Katie and Mike's picture-perfect Disney Wedding was the perfect blend of classic romance and Disney magic. After several years of long-distance, they were ready to celebrate the start of their happily ever after in a place that meant so much to them.
The couple wed inside Disney's Wedding Pavilion followed by a dinner reception at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. They decided on a color palette that incorporated blush tones, ivory and lots of greenery to enhance the elegant venue spaces. For their ceremony, they added floral vases at varying heights to flank the altar. It was beautiful!
"I was standing with my Dad just after the bridal party entered the chapel. My wedding planner was holding the door and the three of us were chatting, and she asked "are you ready to get married" and the doors swung open, the organ was playing and in that moment everything was just perfect."
After a few magical portraits in the rain the couple left their ceremony in a vintage car to join their guests at Disney's Grand Floridian Ballroom for a celebration to remember. The reception mirrored the same decor inspiration from the ceremony with similar floral vases, but we also added gold accents to add an element of glamour to the space. Katie and Mike also incorporated some of their favorite Disney quotes by using them as the table names. The pair and their guests enjoyed dinner, toasts, and cake and then danced the night away under the glimmer of the chandeliers.
Katie describes her Disney Wedding as, "Magical. Sounds cheesy, but it truly was magical."
When we asked the couple what advice they would share with future Disney Wedding couples, they shared to just have fun! "It is so easy to get caught up in the decision making process and overanalyze the smallest of details (maybe just me), but everything really does come together in the end. We spent the night on the dance floor and could not have been happier."
