QWhy should I host my wedding event at Walt Disney World Resort?
AWhen it comes to your wedding event we are able to utilize all of Disney Wedding Services to provide you with a worry free planning experience. With experts in food and beverage, entertainment, floral and décor and transportation, we leave no area unchecked. Because we offer all of the resources for your wedding, the planning process is easy and much less cumbersome than the traditional wedding planning experience. Your Wedding Event Planner is included and is your main point of contact in the process. On the day of your wedding, your Wedding Event Planner will orchestrate the team of Disney experts so that the two of you and your wedding guests can relax and enjoy your special day.
QHow many people can I host at my wedding event?
AWe offer experiences that range from an intimate celebration for 2 to grand celebrations for over 300. We have a variety of location options that can meet your needs.
QWhen can I get married?
ADays
Events can take place 7 days a week and most days of the year. The only days we do not host wedding events are Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Time
Ceremony times for most locations are 9:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
Our theme park weddings take place at different times. Please check with your Disney Wedding Consultant for more details.
QWill I be able to tour my venues?
AYes! We invite you to schedule an in-person site visit with your Disney Wedding Consultant. Additionally, some of our venues are also open to the public and you can visit at your leisure.
QWhen can I book my event?
AYou can start working with your Disney Wedding Consultant 16 months prior for wedding events including a ceremony and full reception and 10 months prior for all other wedding events to determine the best date, time and location for your event. Ceremony and full reception events can be booked up to one year prior to your requested wedding date. All other wedding events can be booked up to 10 months prior to your requested wedding date.
QCan Disney provide all of the required services for my wedding event?
AThe experts at Disney can provide the majority of your services for your wedding ceremony and reception. Some things that we do not provide are listed below:
- Wedding officiant
- Hair and makeup services
- Wedding attire
- Marriage license
- Wedding insurance
- Invitations
- Save the Date Announcements
- Wedding Website
QIs childcare provided during my ceremony and reception?
AYou will have the option to provide childcare services for your guests. This can range from in-room babysitting to fully themed children's parties. If you are not planning to provide these services, there are many options available to your guests to arrange on their own. Your Wedding Event Planner will be happy to provide you with the options.
QIs transportation provided for my wedding events?
ATransportation for you and your guests during the wedding event can be applied towards your event minimum. Options range from chartered motor coaches to specialty cars for the wedding couple. If you choose to host any part of your wedding event in one of our theme parks, you will be required to provide transportation for you and your guests.
Complimentary transportation is available between all Disney Resort hotels and Disney theme parks.
QHow do I plan the menu for my wedding event?
AFor your reception food and beverage, your Disney Wedding Planner will work with you to schedule an in-person menu tasting, which allows you to personally see, touch and taste all of the wonderful options available for your event.
You may schedule your menu tasting with your Disney Wedding Planner.
If you are not available for an in-person menu tasting, your Wedding Planner can expertly guide you through this process via phone appointments and email.
Please keep in mind that all food and beverage, including the wedding cake, must be provided by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.
QCan I have a religious ceremony?
AAll of our ceremony locations were designed as non-denominational ceremony options. The content of your ceremony is determined by you and your officiant. You are welcome to contact and arrange for the officiant of your choice.
QCan I provide my own wedding services?
AOne of the best things about hosting your wedding at Disney is that you can relax and let us take care of everything. If this is not right for your wedding event, our ballroom locations do allow you to bring in some additional services.
