After meeting in EPCOT, going on countless dates in the Disney Parks, and Carleen’s project that is very close to her heart, the couple said it was important to “get married in a place that meant a lot to us.”
The couple’s priority was making their celebration an unforgettable and once in a lifetime experience for their family and friends – and the Disney Weddings team helped make this dream a reality.
The couples' ceremony decor was inspired by the colors of the sunset and favorite colorway on Spaceship Earth. Through creative lighting design and intricate floral arranging, the team helped bring their unique vision to life.
The couple also explained their reasoning to incorporate touches of EPCOT throughout their wedding. Their wedding cake was inspired by the geodesic design of Spaceship Earth. “We really wanted to celebrate the park we love and that Carleen has put so much of her professional life into.”
They even got to have their first kiss during one of the shows on Spaceship Earth. "Having our first kiss move into one of the shows... truly made our night 'grand and miraculous' and one we will never forget," they shared.
The highlight of the night came after sending their guests off. They stayed in the garden for a private moment where they had their first dance as husband and wife.
Now, the couple says, “every time we walk into EPCOT we hear the anthem and think about how special that evening was. We will sit in the garden some nights and hold hands and just say to each other ‘I truly can't believe we were able to do that’. We made a place that was already special to us even more so, and that's something we can't thank [Disney’s] Fairy Tale Weddings enough for letting us do.”
