Emma and Hector’s love story started in college. The couple “spent every day together, in between and after every class... we've been inseparable ever since”
As their love story continued over the years, Disney became their “happy place”. So, it was a full circle moment when Hector proposed to Emma in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Resort.
Emma shares that after their engagement at Disneyland Resort and love for all things Disney, “It made sense for us to have a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding.”
The wedding festivities began with spending time with family and friends in Disneyland Park.
On their wedding day, the couple had an intimate first look followed by exchanging private vows. These personal details added to the overall romance and individuality of the day.
The couple had a stunning ceremony in Brisa Courtyard at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa. Emma, who grew up going on yearly family vacations to Disneyland Resort, has fond memories of staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa with her family over the years, so she wanted to incorporate this nostalgia of the resort into her big day.
The ceremony was adorned with candles, a sleek white aisle, white roses, and the Disneyland Monorail overhead. Emma’s dress, embedded with rhinestones, and Hector’s white tuxedo, juxtaposed with the guests’ all black dress code, adding an elegant level of sophistication and eeriness to the celebration.
The couple wanted a traditionally elegant wedding with subtle Disney details woven throughout their decor, “amongst all our traditional decor and florals, the Monorail overhead reminded us that we're still in the 'Happiest Place on Earth.'”
Emma and Hector added touches of fall inspired decor throughout their celebration, such as their “doom buggy” inspired chairs at their sweetheart table as a nod to the ride vehicles on the beloved attraction Haunted Mansion.
The Disney Weddings team transformed their ceremony space into an elegant reception space. Complete with dozens of glowing candles casting a warm hue across the venue, stunning chandeliers hanging above each table, a vintage inspired three-tiered cake, and a glittering outfit change for the bride, their wedding celebrations were timeless & chic. The couple shared, “It was beautiful and so special to see our vision come to life exactly the way we wanted.”
Reminiscing on their celebration the couple said, “Our special day was filled with endless laughter and memories.”
