With the holidays in full swing here at Disney Parks
every day is full of hot cocoa and cheerful spirits. But what's winter without a little gingerbread and, because we just can't seem to Let It Go, a touch of 'Frozen'? Disney pastry chefs spent five days building the spectacular 'Frozen' gingerbread castle at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
that was inspired by Mary Blair’s “it’s a small world”.
Adorned with sugar snowflakes, gingerbread shingles and chocolate-coated trees look for Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and his sidekick Sven who were created with sugar, chocolate and an assortment of candy. All in all, the pastry chefs whipped up 311 pounds of honey, 514 pounds of flour, 212 eggs, 67 pounds of spices, 222 pounds of icing and 423 pounds of chocolate. With more than 1,500 gingerbread shingles, I think it's safe to say that this castle would definitely win Arendelle's neighborhood decoration award!
