It looks as if a very sneaky Elf on the Shelf has taken over Wedding Cake Wednesday and sprinkled it with candy canes galore- and I love it! The candy cane production at Disneyland has been a tradition for over 35 years and each and every treat is completely made by hand. It takes about two hours for the candy makers to create a batch of 40 to 45 candy canes. How do they do it you ask? The skilled candy makers roll the batch and pull the cane out by using a technique which involves kneading a 15 pound block of candy over a hook. Then the canes are baked and finally crafted into their famous shape. I hope Mr. Elf saved me one for Christmas!
